About the Role
Join allnex and play a key role in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. In this position, you will lead capital projects, support automation and process improvement initiatives, strengthen process safety and mechanical integrity programs, and help optimize plant operations. Responsibilities
- Ensures all personal activities adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Standards and demonstrates Visible Safety Leadership through repeated plant walkthroughs.
- Defines scope/planning and serves as project manager for Capital Project improvements, as well as manages financial aspects of the site’s capital improvement plan.
- Leads automation efforts, including maintaining, upgrading, and fully utilizing control systems, and provides off-hours support if needed.
- Conducts Process Safety Management activities such as management of change, process hazards analyses, and pre-startup safety reviews.
- Leads the Mechanical Integrity program by interacting with third-party engineers and inspectors to schedule and conduct inspections, interpret reports, and drive execution of follow-up actions.
- Manages the site Maintenance department, including short-term planning and execution of projects during shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Provides leadership through Contractor Management to ensure work completed meets allnex SHE and engineering standards.
- Aligns with Operations personnel and conducts activities such as chemistry and chemical process troubleshooting to aid in meeting production goals.
- Drives Continuous Improvement through tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Workout.
- Supports Quality Management System efforts through ownership of detailed operating procedures, execution of corrective actions, and participation in internal audit programs.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Detailed, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and develop plans to satisfy daily operational needs while maintaining focus on longer-term strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- High level of proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office, SAP, LIMS, PI, AutoCAD, DCS/PLCs, etc.
