Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the CE Attachment engineering team, with the focus on design and development of Ground Engaging and Material Handling attachments for Compact Track Loaders and Excavators.
- Own product development lifecycle from concept through product release using the Stage Gate process: planning, design, testing, validation, and launch.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to onsite and overseas contract engineers, driving technical excellence and career development.
- Review engineering deliverables (designs, calculations, drawings, specifications) for accuracy, safety and quality compliance.
- Drive innovation and product improvements with emphasis on performance, durability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Manage multiple engineering projects concurrently from concept through production, setting priorities, schedules, budgets, etc.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and product management teams.
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural or BioSystems Machinery Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university
- 7+ years of design or product engineering experience in construction equipment, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or related industries
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects
- Strong foundation in structural design, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- Proficient with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, Windchill and FEA applications
- Able and willing to travel out of state for multiple days during development phases
