About the role

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities, including the design, acquisition, and deployment of hardware, software, and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to ensure quality standards are met within existing and planned frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, providing direction for firm-mandated controls, compliance initiatives, and projects within the group, as well as creating a technology domain roadmap.
  • Ensure integration of functions meets business goals.
  • Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
  • Recommend product customization for system integration.
  • Identify problem causality, business impact, and root causes.
  • Design, implement, and deploy software components to solve complex problems, generating positive feedback.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of development approaches and how to best use them.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality software.
  • Produce work that is secure, testable, maintainable, low-defect, efficient, and incorporates best practices; your team trusts your output.
  • Conduct rapid and effective code reviews; provide constructive feedback on changes submitted by others.
  • Focus on operational excellence by identifying problems and proposing solutions, improving team software for better maintainability.
  • Enhance your team’s development and testing processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with teammates and peers working on related software.
  • Resolve discordant views through constructive dialogue.
  • Train new team members on customers, team software, its construction, testing, operation, and its role in the broader context.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, considering Citi’s reputation and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. Drive adherence to policy, ethical judgment, and escalate control issues transparently. Supervise others to maintain these standards.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in an Apps Development role or senior-level experience in an Enterprise Architecture role, with subject matter expertise in one or more areas.
  • Expertise in broader technology patterns and techniques as they apply to Citi’s internal and external cloud platforms (OSE, AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Lead resources and serve as a functional SME across the company through advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and networking.
  • Acquire and apply relevant technology (e.g., MS Copilot, Devin, or similar tools) and financial industry skills, understanding all aspects of NGA technology, including innovative approaches.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of automating code quality, performance, unit testing, and build processing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with tools such as Java, J2EE, Tableau, and SAS.
  • Knowledge of databases like SQL and Oracle.
  • PMP Certification preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity or experience with Generative AI.

Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience required.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $125,760.00 - $188,640.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
