Engineering Lab Technician [4PM - 12AM]

About the role

The position is onsite 5 days a week, first shift 4pm-12am.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and performs experiments that support new product or technology feasibility testing.
• Critically analyzes data generated from experiments.
• Synthesizes resulting evaluations of product and technology feasibility, as well as ideas and concepts and records them in an R&D Notebook.
• Reports results of experiments to R&D management and peers.
• Advises of the product development implications arising from the results and when necessary prepares technical reports.
• Supports the IDS intellectual property strategy by documenting data and independent, unique and patentable ideas that result from experimentations and concept generation.
• Maintains scientific equipment as necessary to support scientific and technical objectives as well as regulatory and governance requirements.
• Maintains good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with IDS product development objectives and regulatory guidelines.
• Interfaces with engineering to support experimental designs and performs testing of product produced experimentally as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Minimum 1-5+ years direct laboratory experience.
