Engineering Intern – Summer 2027

Mallard Manufacturing · Sterling, IL · 1 mo ago

We need to output HTML fragment with sections: Use

for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. Remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning, duplicated lines, application instructions. We need to preserve all substantive information. Include sections only if posting has real specific content. We have location, pay, program start, duration, schedule, description, responsibilities, what you will gain, what we are looking for, preferred qualifications, housing assistance, physical requirements, what to expect after applying (but that's application instructions? Might be considered process details; but we should remove application instructions? The instruction says remove application instructions. "What to Expect After Applying" is about hiring process; might be considered application instructions. Safer to remove that section. Also remove EEO etc. We need to include Pay and Schedule sections if posting actually states them. Yes we have Pay: $28.00 per hour. Schedule: Full time, on site. Also program start and duration maybe could be part of About the role or separate? Not required headings but we can include in About the role paragraph. We need Benefits: we have Housing Assistance (eligible interns may receive a one-time $3,000 taxable housing allowance). That's a benefit. Also maybe other benefits not mentioned. So we can include Benefits section with that. Qualifications: we have "What We Are Looking For" (requirements) and "Preferred Qualifications". Could combine into Requirements and Preferred Qualifications? The headings allowed: Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We could use Requirements for mandatory, Qualifications for preferred, Skills maybe not needed. Or we could put both under Requirements and Qualifications. We need to use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we need to turn lists into
    • . For prose use

. We must not include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. Let's extract substantive content: Location: Sterling, Illinois (maybe include in About the role paragraph). Pay: $28.00 per hour. Program start: Tuesday, May 25, 2027, with limited flexibility for academic calendars. Duration: 10 weeks, with possibility of extending up to 2 additional weeks based on business needs and intern availability. Schedule: Full time, on site. About the role: "Build Something That Matters This Summer As an Engineering Intern at Mallard Manufacturing, a MacLean-Fogg Company, you will apply what you are learning in the classroom to real manufacturing challenges. You will work alongside engineers, operators, quality professionals, and maintenance teams to understand how products are made and help improve the products and processes behind them. You will take ownership of a meaningful engineering project with guidance from an experienced team. Depending on your assignment, you might investigate a quality issue, reduce scrap, improve a process, support automation, develop a design, or evaluate material performance. At the end of the program, you will present your project, results, and recommendations to facility leadership. One application connects you with the engineering internship opportunities available at this manufacturing facility. Tell us which areas interest you in the application. We will consider your interests, skills, and experience alongside available projects and business needs." Engineering Areas You Could Explore Assignments Vary By Manufacturing Facility And May Include list. We could include that as part of About the role or maybe a separate section "Engineering Areas". But headings limited; we could include as part of About the role. What You Will Do: list of duties. What You Will Gain: list of gains. What We Are Looking For: list of requirements. Preferred Qualifications: list. Housing Assistance: benefit. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: could be a section maybe "Working Conditions" but not in allowed headings. Could incorporate into About the role or maybe a separate section "Requirements"? Might be considered part of Requirements? But it's physical demands; could be included in a section "Requirements" as bullet list. We must not include application instructions: "What to Expect After Applying" remove. Also remove EEO etc. Now construct HTML. We'll have sections:

      About the role

with paragraphs covering location, pay, start, duration, schedule, description, engineering areas maybe.

      Responsibilities

      with
      • for duties.

        What You Will Gain

        maybe as

        Benefits

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It says e.g., not exclusive. So we can use other headings? It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Likely they expect those headings; but we could also use other headings if needed? Safer to stick to those. So we need to map content to those headings. We have About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to include Pay and Schedule sections if present. We have Benefits: housing assistance. We have Skills: maybe we can list relevant skills from preferred qualifications? Or we could put preferred qualifications under Qualifications, and required qualifications under Requirements. Skills could be things like CAD, data analysis, etc. But we can also put them under Qualifications. We need to avoid empty sections. Let's plan: - About the role: include location, pay, start, duration, schedule, description of role, engineering areas maybe as a paragraph. - Responsibilities: bullet list of "What You Will Do". - Requirements: bullet list of "What We Are Looking For" (mandatory). - Qualifications: bullet list of "Preferred Qualifications". - Skills: maybe we can extract skills from preferred qualifications: e.g., "Hands-on technical projects... Experience analyzing data with Excel, Minitab, Power BI... Familiarity with CAD software... Exposure to quality methods, lean manufacturing, automation, materials testing... Previous manufacturing, production, shop, internship, or co-op experience." Could be placed under Skills as bullet list. - Benefits: bullet list of housing assistance. - Pay:

        $28.00 per hour

        - Schedule:

        Full time, on site

We also need to include program start and duration maybe in About the role paragraph. Now ensure we don't include boilerplate. Let's craft HTML. We need to wrap each section in appropriate tags. Example:

        About the role

Location: Sterling, Illinois. Pay: $28.00 per hour. Program start: Tuesday, May 25, 2027, with limited flexibility for academic calendars. Duration: 10 weeks, with the possibility of extending up to 2 additional weeks based on business needs and intern availability. Schedule: Full time, on site.
