About the role
WJCL, the ABC affiliate in Savannah, Georgia, is offering a temporary paid internship working alongside our technology team. The technology team designs, installs, manages, and supports all broadcast, information technology, communications, and infrastructure systems for the business.
This internship provides exposure and learning opportunities across various technologies and systems used in the current media and broadcast environment. It is ideal for students in degree tracks or with interest in careers in broadcasting technology, multimedia production and streaming, information technology, electrical engineering, and communications technology.
Schedule
- Paid internship
- Maximum of 24 hours per week
- Duration: 10 weeks
Responsibilities
- Structured introductions and training on systems in the WJCL technological ecosystems
- Hands-on learning and broad understanding of a technical production environment
- Shadowing and performing daily and project-focused tasks alongside the WJCL technology team members
