Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Reviews schedules and budgets relative to project progress and completion.
• Conducts project status reviews, checking accuracy of work completed and monitoring timeliness of project completion.
• Attends project management meetings.
• Assists Project Managers with administrative duties concerning project completion.
• Maintains project files.
• Assists Project Manager in preparation of engineering studies and reports.
• Provides technical guidance and training to members of the project team.
• Provides project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software, and AutoCAD.
• Assists in the preparation of contract documents and technical specifications.
• Assists Project Manager in assuring quality control procedures are performed.
• Assists in the preparation of project drawings.
• Performs necessary code research.
• Responsible for the accuracy of each segment of the work and the final check of the work.
• Responsible for adherence to all applicable codes.

Requirements

• Strong desire for a career in the Water and Wastewater field, including design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD platforms.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position based in our Tempe office. Remote work is not available.
