Program Overview

Our Summer Engineering Internship Program offers ambitious students the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to innovative projects, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing and technology environment. As an Engineering Intern, you'll play an active role in projects that support the design, production, testing, and continuous improvement of industry-leading products and solutions. Whether your passion is Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, you'll gain practical experience that accelerates your professional growth and prepares you for a successful engineering career.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Assist with product design, analysis, testing, and validation activities.
  • Participate in process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Analyze engineering data and develop recommendations to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Create and update technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Observe and support manufacturing operations, field activities, or laboratory testing.
  • Present project results and recommendations to engineering leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Work directly with experienced engineers and mentors on meaningful assignments that impact the business.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, organizations, internships, or extracurricular activities.

Preferred Skills

Depending on the assignment, experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:

  • Electrical Engineering: Electrical systems and power distribution, controls and automation, power electronics, circuit design and testing.
  • Mechanical Engineering: Machine design and product development, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.), mechanical analysis and testing, thermal, fluid, or structural systems.
  • Manufacturing Engineering: Lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, continuous improvement methodologies, production systems and industrial automation.
