Engineering Intern

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship provides supervised practice in the daily operations of engineering and manufacturing, offering hands-on experience in an engineering or related design field. The intern will work approximately 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Create and enter new Part Numbers into our ERP System
• Generate CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks design software as required
• Perform mechanical engineering duties (3D Layout, Light Fabrication and Assembly, testing, and production support) as assigned
• Assist in component fabrication and testing
• Work with Mechanical engineers to support design activities
• Handle part design independently to completion
• Work with digital vendors apps and software tools to support design for manufacturing
• Write test protocols and perform product testing as required
• Support analytical tools based on project requirements
• Work productively both individually and as part of a team

Requirements

• Completed Sophomore year in an ABET-accredited mechanical engineering program or related field
• Experience using SolidWorks
• Quick thinker with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Hands-on and detail-oriented
