Engineering Intern
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Maintenance/Controls team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry, working on projects that drive efficiency and innovation in our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Maintenance and Controls team in breakdown troubleshooting and repair, along with future preventative measures.
- Learn various software packages to create and edit PLCs, HMI, Vision systems, etc.
- Work with the engineering team to create new manufacturing stations from scratch.
- Assist the Controls engineers in the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, quality, and HSE) to design and implement process and equipment improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Provide support for various engineering projects as needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
