Engineering Intern

About the role

As a Technical Intern at ENFRA, you will provide support to technical employees in an organizational function related to your area of study. You will perform basic engineering tasks while learning about our processes, contributing to projects, and assisting with documentation and data management.

Responsibilities

• Learn organizational processes and procedures
• Contribute to assigned projects
• Assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records
• Support record and filing systems, drafting techniques, standards, and data resource duties
• Organize and store maps, detailed design drawings, graphs, structural drawings, and related engineering records
• Collect and code data from sources for input procedures
• Review existing records for necessary revisions and prepare data

Requirements

• Performs work under direct supervision
• Handles basic issues and problems; refers complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical area of study at a college or university
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Attentiveness and ability to follow directions

Travel

0-5% of the time will be spent traveling to job sites or office locations.

Physical Activities & Environmental Conditions

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
• Climbing stairs
• Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds

Work is performed in a quiet, low-temperature environment.
