Engineering Intern
Responsibilities
- Complete routine engineering assignments—including research, testing, design, and development—efficiently and on time using standard operating procedures, established engineering processes, and basic calculations.
- Progressively reduce the need for direct supervision by demonstrating initiative and the ability to complete tasks independently.
- Apply engineering procedures and calculations to develop solutions that require minor innovation.
- With guidance from senior engineers, gather and evaluate engineering data to apply knowledge to relevant assignments.
- Interact effectively and appropriately with Altec personnel and customer representatives to complete projects and assignments.
- Develop the skills necessary to advance as an engineer.
Requirements
- Must provide documentation of full-time enrollment in a college or university and be in good standing.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 hours of coursework or earned sophomore class standing.
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- Preference given to candidates able to work on-site with a part-time schedule throughout the school year.
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

Pay
$23.00/hour. Pay is based on experience, education, and qualifications. Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level and pay may be adjusted.
