What To Expect

The Factory Firmware team is seeking an Engineering Integration Technician to support Vehicle Software integration into manufacturing operations. They excel in a cross-functional environment where they investigate vehicle test failures, conduct data-driven root cause analyses, and collaborate with their team to implement continuous improvements. They play a crucial role in supporting firmware trials, overseeing changes to vehicle self-tests, new firmware releases, and overall change control related to the vehicle's software. Additionally, they provide support to other Vehicle Software teams with vehicle diagnostics, debugging, and component replacement support.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve line processes, first pass yield of testing, quality of the product, and general streamline manufacturability
  • Support escalations, diagnose and resolve firmware and testing issues, and document basic troubleshooting steps to teach others how to fix
  • Work with software engineers to initiate trials, triage issues, support vehicle self-test reconfigurations, and launch mitigations or improvements to production
  • Manage small projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contractors
  • Manage workload with a positive attitude, proactively help co-workers, and strong communication
  • Must be flexible to support night, swing and alternative work schedules

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable working in Linux based environments and command-line tools
  • Experienced creating practical, reliable scripts to automate and improve firmware testing and integration in a factory setting
  • Clear communicator with detailed pass downs and directions to the team, internal or external
  • Detail oriented with strong record-keeping, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and diagnosing low/high voltage automotive electrical systems, interpreting schematics, and using CAN diagnostic tools such as PCAN Explorer and Vector CANape, preferred
  • Experience with a variety of hand, electrical, and portable tools
  • Experience with software developmental tools such as Python, Jira, Git, Splunk and other virtual machine tools, preferred
