About the position
You will serve as the Chief of the Engineering Division at the Mobile District Headquarters' Office with responsibility for providing all engineering services for a wide range of military, civil, environmental, and interagency/international projects and programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of engineering policies and procedures.
- Manage and direct the work of engineering staff to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including government agencies, contractors, and other organizations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to engineering projects.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of engineering projects to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering management.
- Experience managing large-scale engineering projects.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local engineering regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience working in a military or government environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
