Engineering Director - Remote

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Director to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This remote leadership role will guide the engineering organization in delivering scalable software solutions that support the company’s broader technology objectives. The ideal candidate will shape strategy, strengthen delivery execution, and partner closely with product and UX leaders to ensure technical decisions align with business needs. This position also plays a key role in building a high-performing distributed team and improving the processes that support quality, efficiency, and long-term maintainability. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software engineering strategy
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet software requirements
• Drive engineering delivery by collaborating with product and UX leaders
• Ensure scalable and maintainable software architecture
• Refine engineering processes to improve efficiency and quality
• Lead recruitment and retention of top engineering talent

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience
• At least 8 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise products
• Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills
• Outstanding communication abilities across all hierarchical levels
• Experience leading distributed teams

Pay

$197,200 – $263,000 annually
