Engineering Director

About the role

Location: Milwaukee, WI – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. For our client, we are seeking an Engineering Director to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will oversee engineering and facilities operations across multi-building environments, with a strong focus on team leadership, service delivery, and operational reliability. You will partner closely with building operations, security, data management, and environmental health and safety stakeholders to drive safe, efficient performance across client facilities. The position also includes responsibility for maintenance systems, compliance programs, and training initiatives that strengthen organizational capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering staff in building a high-performing team
• Support building operations through integrated facilities management
• Develop and maintain strategic plans for the engineering team
• Manage service center, security, data management, and EHS teams
• Identify and mitigate risks to client facilities
• Implement and manage computerized maintenance management systems
• Administer the Engineering Services Compliance Program
• Develop and implement training programs based on skills assessments

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of direct supervision over multi-building operations
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and a collaborative management style

Pay

$225,000 – $250,000 annually
