Responsibilities
- Produces detailed 3D models, 2D layout drawings, conceptual diagrams, and P&IDs using SolidWorks and DraftSight.
- Aids sales and marketing in developing product concepts and generating CAD-driven marketing assets, including renderings and animations.
- Collaborates with the Product team to support the design, development, and lifecycle support of both new and legacy products.
- Develops and maintains 3D models and 2D drawings for new and existing EcoVapor projects and products in accordance with established design standards.
- Manages revision control, updates existing models and drawing packages, and ensures accuracy and completeness of released documentation.
- Optimizes 3D CAD models, file structures, and design trees to improve efficiency, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Creates conceptual diagrams and P&IDs to support engineering and product development initiatives.
- Produces product renderings and animations to support internal reviews and sales/marketing initiatives.
- Maintains the shared CAD library, ensuring consistency, organization, and adherence to company standards.
- Prepares complete fabrication drawing packages suitable for manufacturing when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in a CAD drafting/design role; or Bachelor’s Engineering degree with a minimum of one (1) year of professional CAD drafting experience; or Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting or a related technical discipline with a minimum of one (1) year of professional CAD drafting experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with SolidWorks (extensive AutoCAD and Inventor proficiency may be considered equivalent).
- Experience developing and maintaining complex 3D assemblies (500–1,000 components).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks drafting, routing, weldments, configurations, and basic design features preferred.
- Familiarity with piping skids and pressure vessel design preferred.
- CSWA and CSWP certification considered an asset.
