Responsibilities

  • Gain strong work experience and exposure to multiple areas of the company, including manufacturing, distribution, extrusion, technical development, information services, and corporate administration.
  • Apply skills and knowledge to real working environments, while also gaining support through networking opportunities and access to a nationally-recognized training program.
  • Complete a series of rotational assignments, alternating between semesters working at Shaw and taking classes with their university.
  • Advance in the program, increasing responsibilities and working on projects that match skills and interests.
  • Engage in a variety of projects that allow gaining new perspectives and ideas to improve productivity, quality, and cost in a full-scale manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Must have completed at least 3 or more semesters of college coursework
  • Highly preferred: Full-time student status; if you are a co-op, you must be registered with your university's official co-op program or career services office
  • Obtaining a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Operations, Chemical, Materials, Automation, or related engineering field

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution
  • Must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license and pass a background check
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Pay

Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
