Engineering - Civil Design Engineer 3-5 Years Experience
About the role
KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a motivated, energetic, and experienced civil engineer with three to five years of site development engineering experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for civil engineering design of site development projects including rough and precise grading, water, sewer, storm drain, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil engineering design of site development projects including rough and precise grading, water, sewer, storm drain, hydrology and hydraulic calculations
- Coordinate work with other staff and design team members
- Research and prepare technical specifications
- Prepare construction documents
- Manage permits and approvals
- Conduct site inspections to assess existing conditions and envision potential scope of work
Qualifications
- E.I.T. or P.E.
- Three to five years of relevant site development engineering experience
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Experience with applicable software applications including hydrology modeling, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills and time management/organizational skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
- Able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk working on a computer and viewing a screen
- Able to apply established engineering principles to solve problems and/or overcome obstacles using sound judgement, independent decision making, and prolonged focus

Compensation: The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected Salary for this position is $88,000 - $105,000 depending on education, experience, and licensure. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
