Engineering CAD Technologist

About the role
You will support the Nuclear Operations Group-Lynchburg Facilities Engineering group. Facilities Engineering is responsible for the entire NOG-L physical facility, inside and outside.
Responsibilities
- Convert as-built conditions into new or updated drawings.
- Construct detailed drawings from sketches and notes. These can include civil, electrical, mechanical, and general facility layout.
- Assist engineers in the conversion of drawings supporting facility infrastructure, production equipment, and security systems.
- Develop and maintain technical records as necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of relevant experience or an Associate Degree in a relevant technical field plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in CAD software, MicroStation preferred, and CAD standards.
- Understanding of industrial/construction drawings. Familiarity with an industrial environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs.
- SAP Plant Maintenance experience preferred.
- Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay
The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) is expected to be between $64,000 and $90,000 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
