Position: Engineering CAD/Revit Technician
Firm: Henneman Engineering
Description: Henneman Engineering, Inc currently has an in-person opportunity for an Engineering CAD/Revit Technician for our Champaign, Illinois office. This position works in conjunction with engineers to develop, detail, and finalize various project drawings for construction.
- Create and prepare construction drawings using applicable CAD/Revit software.
- Design the following:
- Develop Revit/AutoCAD system design and documentation
- Power Distribution
- Multigenerator Set Systems
- Emergency Power / Mission Critical
- Observe projects onsite for correct installation as required.
- Apply field and office technical hands-on activities to carry out work.
- Create drawings using CAD/Revit methods for review, as well as
- Create Calculations, Summary Sheets, And Other Data Manipulation.
- Develop knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
- Work in a team environment and learn from staff engineers, project engineers, and project managers.
- Must have strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Infrastructure
- Building Systems and Process Systems
- Project Site Visit Documentation
- Construction Drawing Creation
Requirements: Associate degree in construction technology, industrial technology, engineering technology, architecture technology, or CAD drafting from a technical college or community college. Experience: A candidate with at least 2 years of industry experience in Electrical design of commercial buildings is preferred. A strong BIM Modeler with plumbing and/or mechanical design experience with a willing to learn electrical will also be considered for the position.
Qualifications: Salary commensurate with skills and experience. \$40,000-\$60,000 range. Benefits typical of industry including paid holidays, PTO, health insurance, disability & life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a matching 401K program.
Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, infrastructure, building systems and process systems, project site visit documentation, construction drawing creation; BIM Modeler with plumbing and/or mechanical design experience; willing to learn electrical.
