Engineering Assistant Co-Op (MI) - Dec. 2026-April 2027

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Organizes work crew’s daily tests based upon weather, track conditions, personnel availability, and client requests.
• Reviews, understands, and ensures compliance with testing standards.
• Creates and reviews ASTM F1805 test conditions and test sequences.
• Records daily environmental and test track conditions.
• Reports and tracks daily test conditions and productivity.
• Maintains and monitors daily test data (traction coefficients & environmental conditions) and identifies trends.
• Receives incoming test tire shipments.
• Communicates with engineer.
• Ensures security of test tire samples.
• Affords assistance to engineer as directed.

Education and/or Experience

• In the process of achieving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with completed coursework in Calculus (derivatives and integrals), Statistics, Statics, Dynamics, and Physics.
