Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Engineering Aid to support our supply chain and manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, materials, and supplier management, and who thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage the status of IGT parts throughout the supply chain (casting, machining, coating, inspection, shipping).
- Aid engineering and procurement teams with vendor coordination, purchase order tracking, and schedule updates.
- Support preparation of technical packages, inspection documents, and traceability records.
- Maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), job travelers, and production routing data in ERP or job-tracking systems.
- Interface with outside processors and vendors for heat treatment, coating, and NDT services.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure AS9100 / NADCAP documentation is complete.
- Help identify supply chain risks and coordinate resolutions to maintain on-time delivery.
- Support engineering change control and document revisions.
- Provide general engineering assistance including part number tracking, data entry, and CAD/inspection file organization as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general ERP or job-tracking systems.
- Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes (casting, machining, coating, inspection).
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace or turbine component manufacturing.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and document control.
- Understanding of process flow for IGT components (blade, vane, shroud, nozzle segments).
- Experience with supply chain management tools or vendor coordination.
- Exposure to CAD, GOM Inspect, or other inspection-related software.
