As Maintenance Tech, you'll play an important role in supporting hotel operations, delivering exceptional service, and helping our team achieve its operational and business goals. Job Purpose The Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical facilities, equipment, and guest areas to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment. This position responds to maintenance needs, performs routine repairs and preventative maintenance, and supports the overall operational needs of the hotel. What You'll Do Will handle routine maintenance in public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, pool, and grounds as neededMaintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as neededUnderstands the room preventative maintenance program and handles projects as assignedProvides administrative support to the Engineering DepartmentEnsures Work Orders are distributed to appropriate team members and gives updates to departmentsReplaces or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as neededMaintains the overall appearance of the room; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, does touch up painting, etc.Troubleshoots rooms heating/ventilating/air conditioning systemsUses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient mannerPerforms preventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel as well as, including both the front of the house, interior and exteriorMaintains the condition of the hotel lobbies and restaurants Repairs furniture and decorations as necessaryRepairs carpet, marble and tileRepairs and maintains kitchen and laundry/housekeeping equipment Repairs/replaces windows and mirrorsMaintains exterior of building and grounds as necessaryAttends schools or seminars to remain current on proper techniquesMay be asked to perform routine pool operations (CPO certification required)Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairsMaintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work areaDemonstrates familiarity with the hotel’s safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the hotelReports any hazards or injuries in the department and takes immediate action to correctContributes to hotels preparedness during fire emergencies by participating in the hotel fire teamHandles master keys in accordance with Company’s standards for the overall safety and security of the hotel Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Driver's License with Clean MVR Record Previous hotel maintenance, engineering, facilities, or general building maintenance experience preferred.Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair practices.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.Knowledge of Purchase Orders and Purchasing Processes What We're Looking For A dependable, hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and well-kept hotel.A problem-solver who responds to maintenance needs with urgency and sound judgment.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.A team player who communicates effectively with guests, associates, and management.Professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, supplies, and materials as needed.Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.Occasionally Lift up to 100 poundsUse ladders and perform work at various heights when necessary.Work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying temperatures.Safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
