Responsibilities

  • Lead design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for public and private clients.
  • Collaborate with other groups and disciplines within the company to deliver top-quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients.
  • Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation.
  • Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications for projects.
  • Assist with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement or presentation opportunities.
  • Oversee the work of EITs or Technicians.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure projects are delivered within prescribed time frames and budgets.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, oversee project schedules and budgets, and coordinate with subconsultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited school.
  • 4–10 years of experience in Transportation/Municipal engineering or a related field.
  • OK PE license or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Ability to prepare, read, and understand construction plans and technical documents.
  • Functional understanding of design software packages, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation, and HydroCAD.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week in posted locations.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment. Occasional travel or field visits may be required to support projects.
