About the Role

We are looking for an Engineer Technician in Training to join our Operations team on our project in LaGrange, GA. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments and auto level and other surveying instruments.
  • Assisting with establishing building control, setting markers, lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
  • Maintaining total station, field book, survey equipment, and tools.
  • Providing primary support to our field supervision and demonstrating ownership of assigned tasks, maintaining professionalism, and using critical thinking to solve issues and lead the team to complete daily tasks at the jobsite.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience.
  • Able to read construction drawings.
  • Training in construction safety protocols (e.g., OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform, boom, and scissor).
  • Able to stand or walk for long periods, use fingers, hands, and arms to reach, handle, and manipulate objects, climb ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
  • Work on uneven surfaces and at heights.
  • Able to read, write, and see and hear well (naturally or with correction).
  • Able to lift and carry materials weighing 50–100 lbs. 75% of the time.
  • Must be agile and mobile, and remain alert.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to work in an OSHA-compliant safety environment.
  • Able to work outside.
  • Able to work overtime and weekend hours.
  • Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
