About the role

We are looking for an Engineer Technician in Training to join our Operations team on our project in Moncks Corner, SC. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments and auto level and other surveying instruments.
  • Assisting with establishing building control, setting markers, lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
  • Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools.
  • Provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues and lead team to complete daily tasks at jobsite.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience.
  • Able to read construction drawings.
  • Training in construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform, boom and scissor).
  • Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, and able to:
    • Stand or walk for long periods of time.
    • Use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects.
    • Climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
    • Work on uneven surfaces/heights.
    • Read/write, and see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
  • Able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.
  • Able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
  • Able to work outside.
  • Able to work overtime and weekend hours.
  • Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
