The Role
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
Captures data, reviews, coordinates and conducts a variety of test procedures across various ship systems.
Coordinates integrated testing activities.
Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program.
Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities
- Responsible to collect data, review, coordinate and conduct a variety of test procedures across various ship systems.
- Hands on deck plate support as well as providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
- Effective communication with both internal and external customers including waterfront construction management, design engineering, test engineering, SUPSHIP, NAVSEA, and Ship's Force.
- Reports overall status to supervisor.
- Reviews test issuance/completion status, updates Test Plan of the Day, provides system status and turnover, identifies and recommends resolutions for system and programmatic issues, and supports the overall E25 contract performance metrics (scheduling, budgeting and scoping).
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
