Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of FPGA engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Lead wireless lab team. Coordinate wireless lab activities (validation, DevOps) and priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Software, and Acoustic teams, to define product requirements, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
- Drive the design and development of FPGA-based systems and circuits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to achieve project milestones, while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
- Develop and implement designs, including verification and validation.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in FPGA or ASIC design and development, preferably within the audio or consumer electronics industry.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team of engineers, preferably in FPGA design and circuit design roles.
- Strong expertise in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog, including synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
- Solid knowledge of digital signal processing techniques, embedded systems, and digital/analog circuit design principles.
- Experience with FPGA design tools, such as AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Altera Quartus, and familiarity with FPGA development kits.
- Proficiency in using simulation and verification tools, such as ModelSim or Mentor Graphics Questa, to validate designs.
- Experience with Linux, networking and dev ops tools (Jenkins, bitbucket, etc.).
- Familiarity with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, propose effective solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Practical experience with Python.
- Experience in the wireless, audio or related fields is a plus.
