The Engineer I supports the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of sink products and related accessories. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role contributes to product development projects, engineering analyses, laboratory testing, design documentation, and sustaining engineering activities. The Engineer I collaborates closely with Product Management, Operations, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to ensure products meet performance, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Job Responsibilities Design mechanical components and systems for NPD initiatives related to the sinks and faucet product lines.Direct involvement in all aspects of product development, including ideation, prototyping, design verification, and production validation.Evaluate customer feedback, customer requirements, existing product designs, and performance standards to support the development of new products.Research, make recommendations, and execute product design enhancements or modifications to support cost reduction and quality improvementsServe as part of a multi-disciplinary team to promote and drive continuous improvement activities.Help drive manufacturing optimization and cost reductions through innovative teamwork and process improvement.Collaborate with senior engineers and lab technicians to develop and execute in-house validation tests.Collaborate with the drafting/design team to properly document all new designs within the document control system, including 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, routers, and technical literature.
