About the role
Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil and environmental engineering projects in New England. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience to build and sustain successful client relationships, manage projects from concept to completion, and contribute to the growth of the local office.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the civil / environmental engineering business line leader in the region
- Seek and acquire new business from state, municipal, and private markets
- Manage projects with existing and new clients
- Expand the office’s skill set through mentoring and professional development
- Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base
- Pursue and win new work through proposal efforts and oral interviews
- Lead the performance of site-specific evaluations, assessments, engineering studies, and project execution services
- Manage federal, state, and municipal projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects to meet client objectives
- Participate in the professional community and promote the Tetra Tech brand
- Ensure work is conducted safely and report health and safety observations and incidents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Advanced degree (MS, PhD) may count for 1-2 years of experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in any state of New England required
- Additional northeastern state PE desirable
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- 40-Hours OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training preferred
- Other OSHA training desirable
- Proficiency in delivering technical and business presentations
- Proven track record of acquiring and executing profitable assignments
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
