About the role
Bombardier Aviation is seeking a Professional with initial experience for contributing to initiatives related to cabin acoustics and the vibratory environment across Bombardier’s product line. This role is essential to ensuring exceptional passenger comfort while promoting technical excellence and innovation within engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Expert responsible for the vibratory environment domain to support all Bombardier technical entities requiring assistance.
- Collaborate with your colleagues in charge of cabin acoustics for the Global 5500, 6500 and 8000 to resolve cabin acoustics and vibration issues occurring during production, delivery, or in service, ensuring Bombardier’s high standards of acoustic and vibratory comfort are maintained.
- Collaborate with extended working groups (engineering, production) to support the integration of new developments (connectivity, interior, features, comfort, etc.) into Global 5500, 6500 and 8000 aircraft while ensuring cabin acoustic comfort meets Bombardier’s high standards.
- Develop and maintain vibratory environment and cabin noise models for Bombardier’s product line.
- Develop and maintain databases for cabin noise and equipment vibration qualification.
- Specify equipment qualification recommendations, review qualification reports, and communicate your findings and recommendations outside the acoustics group.
- Plan and participate in flight, ground, and laboratory tests to quantify cabin acoustic comfort or characterize the vibratory environment in specific areas of the aircraft.
- Analyze test data, write technical reports, and communicate your conclusions and recommendations.
- Create models to optimize cabin acoustic comfort and validate these concepts through test campaigns.
Requirements
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering complemented by a Master’s or Ph.D. in acoustics.
- Ideal experience: 3 to 8 years of relevant technical experience in the industry (transportation or construction, for example).
- General knowledge in acoustics and vibrations, including modeling, measurement techniques, and signal processing.
- Advanced expertise in finite element methods applied to structural dynamics and acoustics and/or sound design in buildings or performance halls.
