About the Program

This is an entry level engineering rotational role in the Early Career Development Program at SPXFLOW. The program is a premier entry point into the organization, designed to develop and grow early career talent through broad exposure to different facets of the business. This 2-year program provides cohesive, in-depth experiences through multiple roles, value-add projects, mentors, and focused-development to launch a fulfilling and successful career.

The program provides extensive exposure to the company's officers and senior management team. At the conclusion of each rotation (three, 8-month rotations), and completion of the 2-year program, you will have the opportunity to present an overview of your work to senior leaders at the company, including the president of our business. These rotations provide a "Big Picture" view of our company while offering hands-on experiences that aim to sharpen your technical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Chemical, Mechanical, or other related Engineering field, or Food Science.

Authorization: Legal authorization to work permanently in the country where you apply without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Location: The role will be located at our factory in Delavan, WI.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a variety of different audiences

  • Strong commercial / business acumen, excellent teamwork skills, organizational competency and the ability to prioritize
  • Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and fluid dynamics to properly size equipment
  • Solid mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, etc.; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Able to articulate and present ideas, concepts, and product demonstrations in front of a large group of people
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites or other SPX Flow locations throughout the Americas when needed
  • Desire to grow into a future commercial role in technical sales, channel management, or others

  • Working conditions are normal for an office and/or client site workshop or warehousing facility
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderately quiet, however local and client sites can be unpredictable and associated safety equipment should be worn accordingly
