Engineer-RF - II

About the role

Customers expect our networks to perform at a high level all the time. With the exponentially increasing network usage for both Mobility and FWA, the RF team is responsible for modernizing and growing the network to maintain optimum service for our customers efficiently and reliably. In this role you will improve network performance by completing RF designs for the regional network, focusing on traffic analysis, network performance analysis, antenna/RF path theory, and using wireless network design and optimization platforms. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and help keep us ahead of the competition.

Responsibilities

• Improving network performance by completing RF designs for the regional network with emphasis on traffic analysis, analyzing network performance, antenna/RF path theory and using wireless networks design and optimization platforms.
• Design responsibilities for 4G and 5G Macro/Small Cells: designing and planning the Radio Frequency Network for LTE and 5G which includes RF analysis for Macro and Small Cells.
• Preparing FCC/FAA submissions, RFDS, CIQ, completing regulatory tasks, 911 submissions, and reviewing EME studies in a timely manner.
• Evaluating coverage/capacity issues and running projections to identify best solutions for expanding network coverage and mitigating capacity triggering sectors.
• Supporting the RF team in keeping the most accurate data in planning tools and maintain data integrity across all platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
