About the role

The Compliance Engineer for marine products will be an integral part of the Polaris Product Compliance Team within the Seasonal Business Unit. They will establish foundational regulatory processes and actively pursue and maintain product certifications supporting the watercraft business.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain regulatory certifications of assigned Polaris products, including emissions, noise, vehicle safety, EMC, and other certification types.
  • Ensure compliance with US EPA, CARB, TC, ECCC, USCG, NMMA, EU type approval, and other international requirements.
  • Support engineering research and development activities to ensure compliance through design for new products.
  • Prepare deliverables for product development process (PDP) gate reviews.
  • Plan and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to achieve timely market introductions.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and third-party certification authorities.
  • Resolve product compliance issues as they arise.
  • Engage with applicable Industry Associations (e.g. ABYC) and stay informed of new requirements.
  • Maintain and support the development of compliance processes and systems.

Requirements

Prior experience in product compliance and vehicle certification required. In-depth understanding of marine safety and emissions standards (US and International) is essential. Ability to communicate effectively with global partners is necessary. Motorsports enthusiast with vehicle systems is preferred. Self-starter who can apply engineering principles to regulatory requirements is required. High ethical standards and excellent research and communication skills are expected.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.

Competitive pay range of $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
