Essential Job Functions
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on refrigeration equipment.
- Maintain and repair all refrigeration equipment in the building and kitchens including walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, under counter coolers and freezers, reach ins, cold plates, uprights and water filtration systems.
- Work on other equipment as needed.
- Maintain correct stock/inventory of refrigeration supplies and filers and communicate when replenishment is needed.
- Respond to all requests from guests and associates.
- Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
Qualifications
- EPA universal licenses are required.
- Previous refrigeration maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting schematics.
- Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel and ability to learn other related engineering programs.
- Must be organized and mechanically inclined with strong desire to learn building mechanics.
- Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
Physical Requirements
- Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Requires repetitive motion, including the use of handheld and powered tools.
