About the Role

Responsible for performing reactor engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
  • Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures.
  • Must obtain Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE) within 24 months of assuming the position.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 3 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience.
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.6.1) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants."

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or previous Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE).
  • Engineer in training certification.
  • Prior reactor engineering experience.

Pay

Expected salary range of $110,000 to $122,000, varies based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
