Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, and Sales and Marketing departments regarding quality issues using tools such as Pareto analysis, problem solving, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), Design of Experiments (DOE), process mapping, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Perform gauge R & R studies.
• Determine whether test results are acceptable and communicate results to plants.
• Perform product capability studies.
• Perform basic maintenance on lab equipment.
• Analyze customer complaints and provide reports.
• Perform gage calibrations.
• Analyze competitor samples and provide reports.
• Prepare raw material and finished products for testing.
• Assist in developing and writing lab and quality control procedures.
• Support engineering projects as required.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• College graduate with an engineering degree.
• Willing to consider additional formal training as required.
• Preferred experience in quality inspection and plastics processing.

Skills

• Advanced math skills.
• Good decision-making skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Team working experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel for QA audits if required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
