About the role
As a contingent PDP / Supplier Quality Engineer for Horicon Works you will lead Quality Planning Activities for assigned commodities related to PDP programs, current production, service parts and continuous improvement (CI) and value improvement (VI) projects.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate/participate in cross functional teams in the application of quality-related development activities (e.g. DPAR's, FMEA's, control plans, design reviews, supplier audits, risk assessments, and root cause analysis).
- Assist in identifying, communicating and resolving supplier quality problems for PDP programs and current production.
- Facilitate corrective action (8D process steps) for PDP programs and supplier quality issues
- Ensure robust execution of Return Goods Authorization (RGAs); Supplier Change Requests (SCRs); quality plans, and supplier improvement activities as required
Requirements
- 2 or more years of related experience which may include manufacturing, quality engineering or supply management in a design/manufacturing environment
- Experience with standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma.
- Experience utilizing advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis to identify, investigate, and resolve problems.
- Experience with drawings and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to lead and identify priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organization skills
Qualifications
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a Technology related discipline or equivalent work experience
Pay
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $37.50 - $37.50/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
