Location: Horicon, WI – fully onsite position.
About the role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will develop vehicle electrical systems for Riding Lawn Mowers and Compact Utility Tractors. You will collaborate closely with supply management, quality, PV&V, program management, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development process in an office-based engineering environment. The role may require occasional off-shift work to support vehicle builds and up to 10% domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop electrical system requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and release electrical systems, including vehicle harnesses, in the production system.
- Create and organize bills of material for electrical systems on vehicles.
- Work with outside suppliers on component feasibility, development, and integration.
- Provide build support at various stages throughout the product development process.
Requirements
- 3+ years of vehicle electrical system design, integration, or testing experience.
- Experience with developing, designing, or testing electrical components, wiring harnesses, schematics, and understanding of software/hardware interaction.
- Demonstrated experience owning and managing project deliverables.
- Knowledge of general product development processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work off-shift hours, as needed, to support production during builds.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agriculture or other off-highway vehicle development experience.
- Experience creating and maintaining bills of material for vehicle systems or test equipment systems.
- Experience in product development software or writing test scripting in embedded product validation and verification such as SIL or HiL test stand.
- Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools.
- Project management experience.
- Experience leading and training new team members or peers.
- Experience leading design or test work performed by remotely located team members.
- Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines.
- Experience with systems engineering practices.
Pay
$40.00 - $55.00/hr.
