About the role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer Test to support the Systems Engineering organization. The Systems Engineer will provide technical advice and guidance as part of a deployment team and perform hands-on technical tasks during system installation and integration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct integration activities in a dedicated lab environment, coordinating with customers
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain a multi-vendor lab environment (digital, fiber, 1394 bus systems)
  • Perform digital-bus troubleshooting and fault-code interpretation for PHM
  • Resolve integration issues in a proactive, self-managed manner
  • Apply RF experience for signal integrity, interference mitigation, and test procedures
  • Work with Anonymous Subscriber Messaging protocol, ensuring secure, compliant data exchanges
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Maintain good customer relations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in STEM field with 2 years of experience; 0 years with a Master's Degree; 4 years of additional experience may be added in lieu of a degree.
  • Laboratory integration experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tactical avionics radios and test equipment for communications, navigation and identification
  • CNI integration and test experience
  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals and military standard maintenance practices
  • Working knowledge of engineering tools for documentation, code and schematic configuration management, such as JIRA, ClearCase, GIT
  • Working knowledge of Requirements management tools and Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS and Cameo
  • Experience troubleshooting with embedded systems, RF and digital signals systems and familiarity with associated design documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, ICDs
  • An active US Government Secret security clearance

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
