About the role
This position prepares and coordinates plans and schedules for new or existing programs. It involves determining, monitoring, and reviewing costs, operational budgets, and schedules, and manpower requirements. The role supports and participates in negotiations with customers and analyzes the effects of projects on various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool.
Responsibilities
- Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
- Supports and participates in negotiations with customer.
- Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
- Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters.
- Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; or a Master’s Degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- The following may be used as equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience.
Qualifications
- Core Facilitation Skills: Planning and preparing events, aligning team goals with organizational strategy, employing facilitation best practices, utilizing methodologies such as Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.

- Preferred Learning & Development Expertise: Technical and Learning Design Skills, Strategic and Business Alignment, Continuous Learning and Adaptability, Content Development, Subject Matter Experts: Conducting thorough interviews with subject matter experts to source curriculum content, Ability to research, develop, editing, and tailoring content to suit user needs.
- Preferred Technologies: A solid understanding of SharePoint's structure, including site collections, content databases, and service applications.
- Continuous Improvement Expertise: Proficiency in Lean tools for problem-solving and data-driven methodology enhancing quality by eliminating defects in processes.
