Job Description Summary The Gas Turbine Configuration Management (CM) organization is responsible for transforming product requirements as well as engineering design intent into actionable product definition. Through utilization of our Product Lifecycle Management (GTCC) and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) space, we can deliver on time and quality product definition to supply chain functions globally. Gas Power Engineering (GPE) end-customers are also partners and consumers of CM output. The Order to Remittance (OTR) CM organization is focused on the creation and maintenance of the project structure and Bill of Materials (BOM) for New Unit Requisitions from Order Release through the equipment’s Commercial Operation Date (COD), in addition to supporting Conversion, Modification and Uprate (CMU) projects. The Engineer – OTR Config Mgmt, Project Structuring ST/GEN is responsible for generating and managing New Unit requisitions’ Flange to Flange (F2F) and Accessories project structures for Steam Turbine and Generator products. The role will also cover the management of ST/GEN CMU Bill of Materials (BOMs) Job Description Specifically, this position is responsible for the following tasks: Create and maintain Engineering BOM (EBOM) and Unit BOMs along with the conversion and push of Manufacturing BOM (MBOM) to various ERP systems (PowerMax etc.) throughout the project’s lifecycleSupport Inquiry to Order (ITO) team (Commercial and Application Engineering) in the successful OTR transition of project scope definition in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) GTCC tool, or equivalent, after Order Release Meeting (ORM)Collaborate with the Project Engineering on the timely handoff of the requisition’s scope definition within the PLM tool, or equivalent, to the OTR CM teamVerify accurate generation of logical features per selected configuration features options and Variant Configuration Central (VCC) logic within PLM tool, or other established method, and enact necessary actions to resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the ITO CM teamSupport Preliminary Bill of Materials (PBOM) review meeting for Steam Turbine, and Generator productsValidate standard parts selected through GBOM rules and support Configure to Order (CtO) efforts to maximize direct release percentage on requisition ordersAssist manufacturing and MSD sourcing teams in addressing concerns with bill of material timeliness and disconnects, conduct regular BOM integrity monitoring and reportingExecute CM’s role and responsibilities in Change Management processesCollaborate with other functions (such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, Project Engineering, Design Engineering, other CMPD teams, etc.) towards continuous improvement and Lean activitiesEnsure that CM activities follow the GE Gas Power procedures, processes, as well as contractual requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science2+ years experience in process use and development with regards to product definition development, Bill of Material management, configuration management concepts, program/project scheduling and field installation Desired Characteristics Clear thinking, open to new ideas and demonstrated experience in the implementation of new tools and processesDemonstrated dedication to GEV Code of Conduct, high level of integrityPLM (product lifecycle management) systems experience.
