Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary engineering contact on property during evening operations
- Respond to guest room and departmental service requests with urgency and professionalism
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems
- Act as first responder for facility-related emergencies
- Conduct evening property inspections and proactively address issues
- Complete nightly logs and shift reports
- Support building closure procedures and security checks
- Execute and support preventive maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of building maintenance, facilities, or hospitality engineering experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple trades
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Professional demeanor and strong guest-service mindset
- Reliable, accountable, and self-directed
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Hospitality or resort experience strongly preferred
- PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Trade or vocational training (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- OSHA safety training
- CPR / First Aid
Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
- Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
- Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
- Available for emergency response and rotating on-call coverage
