About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design of municipal projects, delivering high-impact solutions to clients.
  • Monitor task progress, delegate responsibilities, and manage deliverables to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the company to produce high-quality, client-focused results.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Perform design-related tasks including 3D modeling, calculations, cost and quantity estimates, and plan development.
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, project budgets, schedules, and public involvement efforts.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and client standards, processes, and quality expectations.
  • Troubleshoot design or construction challenges and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Attend client meetings and provide updates on project scope, progress, and technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate project records and document design decisions.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, scope development, and fee estimates for new projects.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services or follow-up work with existing clients.
  • Support and mentor graduate engineers and technicians, helping foster their technical and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years of experience in Municipal engineering or a related field.
  • PE license in Texas and/or Oklahoma, or the ability to obtain such a license within six months.
  • Functional understanding of design software packages, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.

Skills

  • Proficiency in design software packages, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
