About the role
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking Engineers, at all levels, to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.
Responsibilities
- Develop conventional engineering and scientific solutions to technical tasks or project objectives.
- Learn SRMC and specific Department systems, methodologies, and requirements for accomplishing tasks.
- Assist more senior engineering personnel in performing related activities in more complex tasks.
- Accept delegated technical responsibility for a limited phase of a scientific or engineering program.
- Support engineers or scientists performing related phases of a program.
- Assist in studies, development, testing and analysis of designs, processes, or procedures related to a limited phase of a system or program.
Requirements
- To qualify for the Associate Engineer position: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university with expected graduation by August 31, 2026 (applicant must include expected graduation date on resume).
- To qualify for all other Engineering positions: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university with years of relevant professional engineering experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop appropriate outputs.
- Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment with multiple demands and priorities.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Sound technical knowledge base of discipline’s standard concepts, principles, and techniques with the ability to apply formal training.
- To qualify for the Senior Engineer level: Provides innovative methods or solutions on a diverse range of highly complex problems that require in-depth analysis of multiple tangible and intangible factors and the creative use of established methods.
- To qualify for the Senior Engineer III level: Collaborates with colleagues across the company including senior management and periodically with outside stakeholders/organizations (e.g. DOE, regulators, affiliates).
- Ability to perform walkdowns.
- GPA of 2.8 or higher (please list GPA in the profile).

USD $81,000.00/Yr. USD $188,000.00/Yr. Exceptions to this range/rate may be applied on a case-by-case basis taking into account aspects such as education, experience, and skill need of the organization.
