Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
- Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct involvement.
- Manage and perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision, applying engineering principles.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommend improvements to equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and outage activities as needed.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications vary by level:
- Entry Level (E01 Engineer): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear), maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, and favorable medical examination and/or testing.
- Mid-level (E02 Engineer): Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience, maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, and favorable medical examination and/or testing.
- Senior (E03 Engineer): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience, maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, and favorable medical examination and/or testing.
Qualifications
- Licensing: LAR/Task Report experience, Nuclear Modification Design Process, Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or related coursework preferred.
Skills
Excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application, detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations, ability to conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses, and strong recommendation skills.

Pay
Entry-Level: $87,000 - Mid-Level: $92,700 - $114,000; Senior Level: $122,400 - $154,000. Ranges are per year based on experience.
