About the Role
This position involves supporting naval and maritime systems through detailed technical reviews, project management, and engineering support to ensure ship system accuracy, functionality, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for HVAC, steam, auxiliary, life support, ventilation, and compressed air systems.
- Develop test procedures, coordinate onsite testing, and support programmatic tasks such as Machine Alterations and ship change documents.
- Conduct market research, resolve obsolescence issues, and support system configuration, troubleshooting, and training.
- Verify installation accuracy through ship checks and support logistics, certification, and planning activities.
- Participate in system engineering programs, reviews, and assessments, ensuring technical accuracy and quality delivery.
- Develop advanced fluid system models and analyze impacts of ship modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Seven years of experience with Navy ship auxiliary systems, control systems, pumps, valves, and testing.
- Knowledge of system engineering processes, logistics support, and obsolescence management.
- Proficiency in technical drawings, project management, and system configuration.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
