About the role

This position performs advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations, acting as a resource and technical expert. The role involves making technical decisions, providing in-depth expertise, and leading engineering analysis and programs. It can be filled at either the Mid-level or Senior Engineer level, with qualifications and compensation adjusted accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Fulfill technical leadership accountability for programs impacting site operations, both short-term and long-term.
  • Perform engineering tasks applying principles to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, adhering to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes.
  • Support emergency response, outage activities, and other assignments as directed by management or company policy.

Requirements

Mid-level (E02) Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear).
  • 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, including favorable medical examination/testing as applicable.

Senior (E03) Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear).
  • 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements, including favorable medical examination/testing as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Turbine experience (highly desired).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.

Pay

Expected annual salary ranges (based on experience and level):

  • Mid-Level Engineer: $92,700 – $114,000
  • Senior Engineer: $122,400 – $154,000
