Pay

Expected salary ranges (per year, based on experience):

  • Mid-Level Engineer: $92,700 – $114,000
  • Senior Engineer: $122,400 – $154,000

Purpose of the Role

Performs advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations, acting as a resource and technical expert. Responsible for technical decisions with deep functional discipline knowledge and practical application of industry codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for programs impacting site operations.
  • Perform engineering tasks applying principles, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for technical projects.
  • Recommend equipment, concepts, or techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct flaws, or comply with regulatory changes.
  • Support emergency response, outage activities, and other assignments as directed.

Requirements

Mid-Level (E02) Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear).
  • 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Meet minimum access or unescorted access requirements, including favorable medical examination/testing.

Senior (E03) Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear).
  • 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Meet minimum access or unescorted access requirements, including favorable medical examination/testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Turbine experience (highly desired).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
